Get ready to design and build your very own cardboard world.
In this hands on craft class students will explore sculpture, construction and imaginative world building using cardboard, recycled materials and plenty of creative problem solving. Across the term we will design structures and spaces, create transport and movement through the city, and develop characters that live within the world.
Tasks are open ended and strengths based, meaning every student can approach the project in their own way while building confidence and creative thinking skills. There is no single “right” outcome. We celebrate ideas, experimentation and individuality.
Students will work across several smaller builds that connect together as part of a larger evolving world.
Classes are held in small groups with capped numbers to ensure students receive support, encouragement and space to develop their ideas.
Location: We Made Studios, 11 Rutland St, Newtown
Recommended ages: 5–14
Term: 8 weeks beginning the week of April 27
