Termly Classes

Confidence, creativity, and connection

Our Termly Art Classes give kids a weekly creative outlet to explore, express, and experiment.

We mix the fun of paint-splattered chaos with the confidence-building structure of learning new techniques and trying something fresh each week.

Because the only thing better than making art once is making it every week.

What happens in class

Each term brings a new theme and fresh creative projects.

From still life and self-portraits to clay work, collage, and mixed-media creations, we guide kids through a variety of art forms that spark imagination and help them build real-world creative skills.

Classes are small and relaxed, with plenty of one-on-one encouragement and space to explore their own ideas.

We focus on progress, not perfection, because creativity grows best when it’s fun.

Rather than rushing through a new artwork every week, we take our time — planning, experimenting, and bringing one piece to life over a few weeks.

It helps kids develop real artistic skills and confidence in their creative process.

Who it’s for

Our termly program is perfect for:

  • Kids who love art and want to learn proper techniques

  • Parents looking for an after-school activity that’s calm, hands-on, and confidence-boosting

  • Young artists who need a space to switch off from screens and express themselves freely

Ages 5–14. Beginners welcome. Everyone leaves a little prouder than they arrived.

OOPS!!! (Tuesday 4-5)
from $40.00

Oops! This term we’re turning the unexpected into art.

This painting class is all about letting go of perfection, experimenting and discovering what can happen when a mistake becomes the starting point rather than something that needs to be fixed.

Our three painting projects will begin with:
-A line
-A broken or divided canvas
-A big spill or blob of paint

From there, students will decide what their accidental starting point becomes.

A fun one for building creative confidence, problem solving and getting a little more comfortable when things don’t go exactly to plan.

-A comic style portrait

-A bold artwork based around their name

Across three drawing projects, students will explore:
-Planets and outer space
-Aliens
-Rockets, spaceships and space stations

We’ll experiment with different drawing techniques while encouraging students to imagine their own worlds, creatures and ways of travelling through space.

There’s no one right way for any of these projects to look. A planet can be realistic, completely made up or somewhere in between!

Things are getting a little silly in Animal Antics!

This term we’re taking something familiar, animals, and putting them into some very unfamiliar situations.

Students will create three drawings exploring:
-Animals in accessories
-Animals doing something surreal or unexpected
-Animals completely out of place, think a giraffe in an office, a penguin at the supermarket or a crocodile at the hairdresser

This class combines drawing skills with imagination, storytelling and a good dose of silliness.

Teen Open Studio (Wednesday 6:30-7:30)

Teen Open Studio is a little different to our regular themed classes.

Rather than everyone working from the same project, students have the freedom to explore their own ideas, interests and creative style with access to the studio, materials and guidance when they need it.

They might spend the term developing one larger piece, experiment with a few different ideas or use the time to simply create without the pressure of a set outcome.

It’s relaxed, social and student led, with support there when they want it.
