We are SO excited to bring you this very special collaboration with local ceramic artist Leah Grant.
In this bold, hands on stencil masterclass, students will dive into Leah’s iconic, recognisable stencil style and learn how to design, cut and apply their own custom stencil across two mediums.
This is not a copy the teacher class. It is skills based, technique focused and packed with creative exploration.
On the day, students will:
• Design and cut their own stencil
• Apply their stencil to a pre made ceramic vessel created by Leah
• Glaze their ceramic piece using professional underglazes
• Experience the very satisfying stencil peel reveal in class
• Create a second stencil artwork on canvas using acrylic paint while their ceramic dries
The ceramic piece is the perfect small vessel for a pen cup, paint brush holder or special trinket container. All ceramic items will be professionally fired and ready for collection from We Made approximately two weeks after the event.
Because this is a collaboration class, capacity is slightly larger than a standard We Made session, however places are still limited and expected to fill quickly.
At $70 per student, this masterclass offers incredible value. Students receive specialist mentoring from a working ceramic artist and complete two high quality artworks to take home.
